Community First Responders
How the First Responder Service operates
There is a first responder team that covers Garsdale and Sedbergh and has already been used on call outs. The first responder service comes into effect when an emergency call is received by the ambulance service. Where required the First responder will then received a call and/or text and travel to the emergency before the ambulance arrives. In simple terms call 999 and the First Responder service is there to support if required
